Tissam 2×2 Checkerboard Zellige Tile

This Tissam checkerboard zellige tile features a refined contrast between deep teal blue and soft ivory white, creating a balanced and timeless pattern inspired by traditional Moroccan craftsmanship. Each 2×2 zellige tile is handmade in Morocco, individually shaped and glazed, resulting in subtle variations in tone, texture, and softly irregular edges that define authentic zellige.

The classic checkerboard layout brings rhythm and structure, while the glossy glazed surface enhances light reflection and depth of color. The handcrafted nature of the tile adds warmth and character, making each installation unique.

This 2×2 checkerboard zellige tile is suitable for both residential and commercial applications, including kitchen backsplashes, bathroom walls, shower walls and floors (including steam showers), interior floors in high-traffic areas such as kitchens, primary bathrooms, and entryways, as well as low-traffic spaces like guest bathrooms and bedrooms. It is also suitable for fireplace surrounds (excluding the firebox) and is compatible with radiant heated floors.

For exterior use, this zellige tile may be installed on exterior walls and outdoor floors in non-freeze climates.
