The AFLA Checkerboard 2×2 Zellige Tile features a deep Moroccan blue paired with soft off-white, forming a timeless checkerboard pattern rooted in traditional craftsmanship. The blue tone brings depth and character, while the off-white tiles provide balance and lightness, highlighting the handmade nature of authentic zellige.

Each tile is individually handcrafted, resulting in subtle variations in color, glaze movement, and surface texture. These natural irregularities are intentional and celebrate the artisanal process, ensuring that every installation is unique. The checkerboard layout adds rhythm and visual interest while remaining versatile enough for both classic Moroccan interiors and modern architectural spaces.

AFLA zellige tiles are suitable for residential and commercial applications, including high-traffic interior floors such as kitchens, primary bathrooms, and entryways, as well as low-traffic areas like guest bathrooms and bedrooms. They are also ideal for interior walls, including kitchen backsplashes, bathroom walls, and decorative feature walls.

For more demanding environments, AFLA can be installed on shower walls and floors, including steam showers, and is suitable for pools and spas, whether saltwater or chlorine. The tile is compatible with radiant heating systems and may be used on fireplace surrounds, excluding the interior firebox.

AFLA may also be used on exterior walls and outdoor floors in non-freeze climates.
