Description
The Ramad 2×2 Checkerboard Zellige Tile features a refined combination of soft gray and white, arranged in a classic checkerboard pattern inspired by traditional Moroccan floors and architectural details. Each zellige tile is handcrafted in Morocco, shaped and finished by hand, resulting in natural shade variations, subtle texture, and gently irregular edges that define authentic zellige craftsmanship.
The compact 2×2 checkerboard format creates a structured yet understated look, making it ideal for minimalist, modern, and timeless interiors. The glazed surface reflects light softly while preserving the organic character of handmade zellige.
This zellige tile is suitable for residential and commercial applications, including kitchen backsplashes, bathroom walls, shower walls and floors (including steam showers), interior floors in high-traffic areas such as kitchens, primary bathrooms, and entryways, as well as low-traffic spaces like guest bathrooms and bedrooms. It is also suitable for fireplace surrounds (excluding the firebox) and is compatible with radiant heated floors.
For exterior use, the Ramad checkerboard zellige tile may be installed on exterior walls and outdoor floors in non-freeze climates.
