Mahin 2×2 Checkerboard Zellige Tile

Mahin is a handcrafted 2×2 checkerboard zellige tile featuring a soft clay pink paired with warm ivory white, inspired by natural mineral tones found in traditional Moroccan architecture. Each tile is handmade in Morocco, shaped and glazed individually, resulting in subtle color variation, organic texture, and gently irregular edges that define authentic zellige.

The compact 2×2 square format creates a balanced checkerboard pattern that feels timeless yet contemporary. The glossy glazed surface reflects light beautifully, enhancing depth while preserving the artisanal character of each piece. This format is ideal for both classic and minimalist interiors, offering visual rhythm without overpowering the space.

This zellige tile is suitable for residential and commercial applications, including kitchen backsplashes, bathroom walls, shower walls and floors (including steam showers), and interior floors in high-traffic areas such as kitchens, primary bathrooms, and entryways, as well as low-traffic areas like guest bathrooms and bedrooms. It can also be used for fireplace surrounds (excluding the firebox) and is compatible with radiant heated floors.

For exterior use, this 2×2 zellige tile may be installed on exterior walls and outdoor floors in non-freeze climates.
