Alim 2×2 Checkerboard Zellige Tile

Alim is a handcrafted 2×2 checkerboard zellige tile featuring a warm brown tone inspired by natural Moroccan clay, paired with a soft off-white glaze. Each zellige tile is handmade in Morocco using traditional techniques, resulting in subtle variations in color, texture, and edge shape that highlight the authenticity of true zellige craftsmanship.

The classic checkerboard layout creates a balanced and timeless pattern, making this tile suitable for both contemporary and traditional interiors. The glossy surface enhances light reflection while preserving the organic character of the handmade glaze.

This 2×2 zellige tile is suitable for residential and commercial applications, including kitchen backsplashes, bathroom walls, shower walls and floors (including steam showers), interior floors in high-traffic areas such as kitchens, primary bathrooms, and entryways, as well as low-traffic spaces like guest bathrooms and bedrooms. It can also be used for fireplace surrounds, excluding the firebox, and is compatible with radiant heated floors.

For exterior applications, this tile may be installed on exterior walls and outdoor floors in non-freeze climates. It is not suitable for exterior floors exposed to freeze or thaw conditions such as snow or ice.
