The Alili 2×2 Checkerboard Zellige Tile combines deep green and soft white tones in a classic checkerboard layout inspired by traditional Moroccan interiors and courtyard floors. Each zellige tile is handcrafted in Morocco using time-honored techniques, resulting in natural color movement, subtle surface texture, and softly irregular edges that reflect the authenticity of true zellige.

The 2×2 square format offers a balanced and rhythmic pattern that feels both structured and expressive. The glossy glazed finish enhances the richness of the green while allowing light to interact naturally with the handmade surface, giving each installation depth and character.

This zellige tile is suitable for residential and commercial use, including kitchen backsplashes, bathroom walls, shower walls and floors (including steam showers), interior floors in high-traffic areas such as kitchens, primary bathrooms, and entryways, as well as low-traffic spaces like guest bathrooms and bedrooms. It is also suitable for fireplace surrounds (excluding the firebox) and is compatible with radiant heated floors.

For exterior applications, the Alili checkerboard zellige tile may be installed on exterior walls and outdoor floors in non-freeze climates.
