Safra Sand 4x4 Square Zellige Tile

The Safra Sand zellige tile captures the soft warmth of sun-washed Moroccan earth, inspired by natural clay, limestone, and traditional riad interiors. Handmade in Morocco using time-honored zellige techniques, each tile is individually shaped, glazed, and kiln-fired, resulting in subtle tonal movement, organic speckling, and natural surface variation that define authentic Moroccan craftsmanship.

This 4x4 zellige tile features a refined sand-beige hue with gentle mineral undertones and a softly aged finish. The glaze settles unevenly across the surface, creating depth and character unique to handmade tile. The classic square zellige tile format offers timeless versatility while preserving the artisanal charm of Moroccan zellige.

Designed for interior floors, Safra Sand performs beautifully in high-traffic areas such as kitchens, entryways, and primary bathrooms, as well as low-traffic spaces including guest bathrooms and bedrooms. It is equally suitable for kitchen backsplashes, bathroom walls, shower walls and floors, fireplace surrounds (excluding the inside of the firebox), and pools or spas, including saltwater and chlorine environments.

For exterior applications, Safra Sand zellige tile may be used on outdoor floors and walls only in non-freeze climates. It is not suitable for exterior floors exposed to freeze or thaw conditions, snow, or ice. The tile is fully compatible with radiant heating systems.

As with all handmade Moroccan zellige, sealing is required to protect the surface, enhance durability, and preserve the natural sand tone over time.
