Description
The Garnet 4x4 rouge red zellige tile features a deep, earthy red tone with subtle shade variation and a softly reflective glaze. Handmade in Morocco using traditional techniques, each tile displays natural surface movement, tonal depth, and slight irregularities that give the color a warm, organic character.
This square zellige tile, crafted in the classic 4x4 zellige tile format, offers timeless versatility for both traditional and contemporary interiors. The hand-applied glaze creates gentle variations in sheen and texture, allowing light to interact naturally across the surface — a defining feature of authentic Moroccan zellige.
This rouge red zellige tile is suitable for interior floors (including high-traffic areas), interior walls, kitchen backsplashes, bathroom walls, shower walls and floors (including steam showers), and fireplace surrounds (not inside the firebox). It is also appropriate for exterior walls and outdoor floors in non-freeze climates only.
⚠️ This tile is not suitable for exterior floors exposed to freeze-thaw conditions, snow, or ice.
From a design perspective, this square rouge red zellige tile pairs beautifully with Mediterranean, rustic, eclectic, and modern interiors. It complements natural wood, stone, plaster, brass, and neutral palettes, making it ideal for warm, expressive architectural spaces.
As with all handmade Moroccan zellige, sealing is required after installation to protect the surface and ensure long-term durability.
