Emerald 4x4 Green Square Zellige Tile
Description
The Emerald 4x4 green zellige tile features a deep, rich green tone with subtle tonal variation and a softly reflective glazed surface. Handmade in Morocco using traditional methods, each tile carries natural imperfections, gentle surface movement, and organic color shifts that bring depth and character to the space.
Crafted as a square zellige tile in the classic 4x4 zellige tile format, this tile offers timeless versatility for both contemporary and traditional interiors. The hand-applied glaze creates slight differences in sheen from tile to tile, allowing light to interact naturally across the surface — a signature of authentic Moroccan zellige craftsmanship.
This green zellige tile is suitable for interior floors (including high-traffic areas), interior walls, kitchen backsplashes, bathroom walls, shower walls and floors (including steam showers), and fireplace surrounds (not inside the firebox). It may also be used on exterior walls and outdoor floors in non-freeze climates only.
⚠️ This tile is not suitable for exterior floors exposed to freeze–thaw conditions, snow, or ice.
From a design perspective, this square green zellige tile works beautifully in Mediterranean, modern, classic, and luxury interiors. It pairs especially well with natural wood, marble, brass, plaster finishes, and neutral palettes, making it ideal for statement kitchens, elegant bathrooms, and refined architectural features.
As with all handmade Moroccan zellige, sealing is required after installation to protect the surface and ensure long-term durability.
