Bahir 2×2 Checkerboard Zellige Tile

Refined and timeless, this checkerboard zellige tile features a deep teal blue paired with soft white, inspired by traditional Moroccan glazing techniques and mineral pigments. Each 2×2 zellige tile is handcrafted in Morocco, individually shaped and glazed by hand, creating natural variations in tone, texture, and edges that highlight the authenticity of true zellige craftsmanship.

The square checkerboard layout brings structure and balance, making it suitable for both classic and minimalist interiors. Its glossy surface subtly reflects light, enhancing the depth of the teal glaze while preserving the organic, handmade character of every tile.

This zellige tile is suitable for residential and commercial use, including kitchen backsplashes, bathroom walls, shower walls and floors (including steam showers), interior floors in high-traffic areas such as kitchens, primary bathrooms, and entryways, as well as low-traffic spaces like guest bathrooms and bedrooms. It is also suitable for fireplace surrounds (excluding the firebox) and is compatible with radiant heated floors.

For exterior applications, this tile may be installed on exterior walls and outdoor floors in non-freeze climates.
