Shadow 2x2 Checkerboard Zellige Tile

Bold and graphic, this 2x2 checkerboard zellige tile features a striking contrast of deep black and soft white, inspired by classic Moroccan architecture and traditional zellige patterns. Each tile is handcrafted in Morocco, shaped, glazed, and finished by hand, resulting in natural variations in tone, surface texture, and softly irregular edges that define authentic zellige craftsmanship.

The checkerboard layout creates strong visual rhythm and balance, making it ideal for both modern and traditional interiors. The glossy glaze reflects light beautifully while preserving the handmade character of each piece, ensuring that every installation feels unique and full of depth.

This 2x2 zellige tile is suitable for residential and commercial applications, including kitchen backsplashes, bathroom walls, shower walls and floors including steam showers, interior floors in high-traffic areas such as kitchens, primary bathrooms, and entryways, as well as low-traffic areas like guest bathrooms and bedrooms. It can also be used on interior walls, exterior walls, pools and spas including saltwater or chlorine environments, and fireplace surrounds, excluding the firebox. The tile is compatible with radiant heating systems.

For outdoor applications, this zellige tile may be installed on exterior walls and exterior floors in non-freeze climates. It is not suitable for exterior floors exposed to freeze or thaw conditions such as snow or ice.
