Balanced with a soft off-white contrast, this checkerboard composition highlights the authenticity and character of handmade Moroccan zellige.

Each zellige tile is handcrafted, resulting in subtle color variations, natural glaze movement, and gently irregular edges. These features are an essential part of authentic zellige and ensure that every installation is unique. The checkerboard pattern adds rhythm and depth while remaining timeless and adaptable to both traditional Moroccan interiors and modern architectural spaces.

GHONBAZ zellige tiles are suitable for residential and commercial applications, including high-traffic interior floors such as kitchens, primary bathrooms, and entryways, as well as low-traffic areas like guest bathrooms and bedrooms. They are also ideal for interior walls, including kitchen backsplashes, bathroom walls, and decorative feature walls.

For more demanding environments, this zellige tile can be installed on shower walls and floors, including steam showers, and is suitable for pools and spas, whether saltwater or chlorine. GHONBAZ is compatible with radiant heated floor systems and can be used on fireplace surrounds, excluding the interior firebox.

For exterior applications, the tile may be used on exterior walls and outdoor floors in non-freeze climates.
