Cocoa Ember is a rich and earthy brown zellige tile inspired by the deep, fired-clay tones found in traditional Moroccan architecture. Handmade in Morocco by skilled artisans, each tile is individually shaped, glazed, and kiln-fired using ancestral zellige techniques, resulting in natural shade variation, subtle surface texture, and the organic imperfections that define authentic Moroccan zellige.

This 4x4 zellige tile features warm cocoa brown tones with soft ember and reddish undertones that shift gently from tile to tile. These variations are inherent to handmade craftsmanship and give every installation a unique, artisanal character. The classic square zellige tile format provides timeless structure while allowing the glaze to reflect light with depth and movement.

Designed for both residential and commercial spaces, this 4x4 brown square zellige tile is suitable for interior floors, including high-traffic areas such as kitchens, entryways, and primary bathrooms, as well as low-traffic spaces like guest bathrooms and bedrooms. It is also ideal for kitchen backsplashes, bathroom walls, shower walls and shower floors (including steam showers), zellige tile fireplace surrounds (excluding the firebox), and pools and spas, including saltwater and chlorine environments.

For outdoor applications, this brown zellige tile may be installed on exterior floors and walls only in non-freeze, non-thaw climates. It is not suitable for exterior floors exposed to freeze or thaw conditions, snow, or ice. The tile is fully compatible with radiant heating systems, making it suitable for heated interior floors.

As with all handmade Moroccan zellige, sealing is required to protect the glaze, enhance durability, and ensure long-term performance. Proper sealing also helps preserve the richness and depth of the brown glaze over time.
