BIR White Hexagon Zellige Tile

BIR Zellige Tile is a handcrafted Moroccan zellige made using traditional techniques passed down through generations. Shaped by hand from natural clay and finished with a soft white glaze, each tile carries subtle variations in tone, texture, and edges that give authentic zellige its timeless character.

Thanks to its hexagon shape and light-reflecting surface, BIR brings balance and elegance to a wide range of spaces. It is perfectly suited for interior floors, whether in high-traffic areas such as kitchens, primary bathrooms, and entryways, or in low-traffic spaces like guest bathrooms and bedrooms. The same refined aesthetic continues seamlessly onto interior walls, including kitchen backsplashes, bathroom walls, and decorative feature walls.

BIR Zellige Tile is also designed for more demanding environments. When properly installed and sealed, it performs beautifully on shower walls and floors, including steam showers, and can be used in pools and spas, whether saltwater or chlorine. Its compatibility with radiant heated floor systems makes it a practical choice for modern interiors, while its artisanal finish adds warmth around fireplace surrounds, excluding the interior firebox.

For architectural projects, BIR can be installed on exterior walls, such as retaining walls, and on outdoor floors in non-freeze climates. However, like all traditional zellige, it is not suitable for exterior floors exposed to freeze or thaw conditions, such as snow or ice.

To preserve its beauty and ensure long-term durability, sealing is required. This step protects the surface while maintaining the natural depth and variation that define handmade Moroccan zellige.
